Working closely with the Internal Communications Manager, you will business partner with our Leadership Team to evolve our internal comms channels and content to better connect our colleagues and effectively communicate our purpose and vision. Creating inspiring and engaging content that promotes an environment where our colleagues understand and feel motivated by their contribution to our role as a business. Whilst supporting our colleagues to embody our values and behaviours.
Key elements of role include implementing and shaping impactful communications to deliver the business strategic priorities for the year and beyond, aligning comms and messaging whilst confidently working with senior leaders to curate content and source stories from around the business.
Key Responsibilities What youll be doing
Collaborate with the Leadership team to convey the business's strategic vision.
Engage confidently with content owners across the business to source content for digital channels and in-person events including town hall meetings.
Chair regular meetings with key stakeholders from various business areas.
Assist the Digital Communications Specialist in curating Executive team profiles for social media.
Manage town hall agendas and content.
Share responsibility for planning and curating video content aligned with business priorities, including engaging with the Leadership team for filming and editing.
Develop bespoke content and support the wider Communications team in delivering the activity calendar.
Create communication plans and collaborate with the Business Change team for key transformation programmes.
Source, curate, and write content for internal audiences, adapting external content for internal use.
Maintain central intranet content, including stakeholder engagement, planning, publishing, and auditing.
Measure the impact and effectiveness of internal communications, focusing on engagement levels and colleague sentiment.
About You What youll bring to your role
The Essentials
Demonstrable previous experience in an internal communications role (3 - 4 years minimum).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to adapt style according to audience and channel.
Experience of working across a broad range of media and channels.
Strong planning and organisation skills ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities and changing deadlines.
Analytical skills, able to report on content performance and provide recommendations to continuously improve.
Creative flair - knows how to make content more compelling, visually, interactively and written.
Excellent team collaboration skills.
Confident hosting meetings with senior stakeholders.
Self-starter, self-driven and ability to think through problems
The Desirables:
Previous experience in an internal communications role in a Commercial or Retail setting
Bachelors Degree in a related field including communications, journalism, marketing
Strong technical competencies and experience relevant to internal communications and colleague engagement
Knowledge of effective communication models including digital and strategic engagement
Photography and videography experience
