SEND Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Leeds)

We are currently recruiting a SEND Teaching Assistant to work across primary schools in the Leeds area, supporting pupils with low developmental attainment and additional learning needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and adaptable individual who is committed to helping children thrive in a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
The Role:
You will be working closely with teachers and SENCOs to support pupils who may require additional help with:
Early learning and developmental milestones
Phonics and literacy intervention
Language development and communication
Emotional and behavioural support
Students with SEND and, in some cases, EAL pupils who are new to the UK and facing language barriers
Requirements:
Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 3 desirable)
Experience supporting children with SEND
Knowledge of Phonics and Read Write Inc
Ability to adapt learning approaches to individual needs
Confident supporting pupils with communication and language challenges
Patient, nurturing, and proactive approach
What We Offer:
Competitive daily rates – £12.07 – £14.43 per hour (depending on experience)
