Job Summary
An exciting opportunity for a Treatment Expert Practitioner in CCC. The role involves working with a wider group of Expert Practitioners across the radiotherapy department, requiring excellent leadership, communication, organisation and time‑management skills.
Main Duties
* Act as an expert practitioner, providing technical advice in treatment and own specialist technical area.
* Manage day‑to‑day workload and working hours across the service.
* Manage staff within the treatment service.
* Implement policy across own specialist area and the treatment service.
* Suggest and implement service development across own specialist area and the treatment service.
Qualifications
Essential
* Degree or Diploma in Radiotherapy
* HCPC registration as Therapy Radiographer
* Qualification to MSc level in related subject
* Evidence of current and relevant CPD
* Significant experience of managing teams, including recruitment, performance, attendance and disciplinary issues
* Significant and broad experience as a therapeutic radiographer
* Significant experience of multi‑disciplinary working
* Up‑to‑date knowledge of current technologies and techniques in radiotherapy and significant knowledge in a specialist area
Desirable
* Management qualification or study
* Experience of managing and implementing change
* Experience in a large radiotherapy department
* First‑line human resource management experience
* Knowledge of health service and oncology specific legislation/plans
