Optometrist - Part Time
Optegra has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Optometrist to join our amazing and supportive team in our Hampshire Eye Hospital.
Ideally we are looking for an Optometrist to commit to working 2 days a week Monday and Friday. Experience in NHS and vision correction is preferred.

Duties and responsibilities
As an integral part of a multi disciplinary team working alongside consultants, you will be required to carry out pre and post-operative consultations, assessing the suitability of patients for treatment. Some of your key responsibilities will include:
1. Carry out examinations that are associated with refractive, cataract, glaucoma and retinal surgeries.
2. Run acute and follow up clinics post-surgery for all patients.
3. Provide health advice and support to patients attending the hospital.
4. Provide first line clinical advice to patients and follow the appropriate means of referral to a medical practitioner if necessary.
Requirements
5. Current GOC registration as a fully qualified optometrist
6. Extensive experience working as an optometrist in a refractive, high street or hospital environment
7. Experience of using patient administration systems and electronic medical record systems
8. Experience of working to conversion targets and other KPIs within Vision Correction
