The Division of Surgery is looking to appoint a Urology TCI Clerk on a full-time basis to support elective activities for day cases and inpatient admissions.
1. Create, book, admit, and discharge TCI encounters for patients.
2. Arrange bookings, reception, and follow-up outpatient appointments.
3. Complete all required documentation and computer records.
4. Locate and request case notes as required and check for admission information.
5. Send out admission letters and handle all relevant inquiries from patients, relatives, and GPs.
6. Address any difficulties related to patient admissions, referring to a higher level if necessary.
7. Ensure clear communication with the consultant and their secretary.
8. Refill canceled appointments where possible by reviewing the waiting list.
9. Monitor patient waiting times to meet targets.
10. Liaise with multidisciplinary staff regarding the consultant's annual leave.
The successful candidate will have experience using Cerner and ideally have TCI training, although this is not essential as training will be provided. They should possess good people skills and be able to prioritize their workload. Experience in a clinic setting would be advantageous.
