Senior Quantity Surveyor – Major Aviation Framework
London/West Sussex (site-based with flexibility)
The Opportunity
We are currently partnering with a leading construction, refurbishment and fit-out specialist that has secured a position on a major long-term Airport framework.
As part of a significant capital investment programme, our client is delivering a range of refurbishment, upgrade, and infrastructure proje cts within a live aviation environment.
They are now seekin g a Senior Quantity Surv eyor to take a leading role in the commercial management of these works, offering exposure to a high-profile, technically complex programme with long-term se cured work.
The Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take ownership of the commercial delivery of multiple projects or key work packages, playing a critical role in driving financial performance and managing risk.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders, project teams, and supply chain partners, ensuring projects are delivered commercially successfully while maintaining strong client relationships in a highly regulated operational environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account
* Develop and oversee cost plans, budgets, and procurement strategies
* Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and contract administration
* Take ownership of valuations, variations, and final account's
* Drive cost reporting, forecasting, and cash flow management
* Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial risks and opportunities
* Provide commercial guidance and support to project teams and junior surveyor's
* Build and maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships
* Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and internal governance procedures
About You
* Proven experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level within construction, fit-out, or re
* furbishment
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects or large, complex packages
* Experience working in live or highly regulated environments (aviation, rail, healthcare, etc.) is highly advantageous
* Strong understanding of contract forms (e.g. JCT / NEC) and commercial processes
* Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to mentor and support junior team members
* Degree-qualified (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or a relateddiscipline
* RICS accreditation (or working towards) is preferred
