About the Role
We're seeking a strategic, self-driven Head of Marketing & Communications to lead all marketing activities for the Institute of Swimming, the UK's leading provider of swimming teacher training.
This role offers autonomy, managing the full marketing lifecycle from strategic planning to execution and reporting.
You will influence the business direction, working with both B2C and B2B audiences, impacting swimming education in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the annual marketing plan aligned with the Institute of Swimming's strategy.
* Implement multi-channel campaigns (digital, email, social, PR, advertising).
* Maintain and protect brand identity across all activities.
* Monitor and report on KPIs such as engagement, conversions, and bookings.
* Support the launch of new products and programmes.
* Optimize the website for user experience, SEO, and bookings.
* Build relationships within Swim England and with external partners.
* Manage agency performance to ensure ROI.
* Oversee the marketing budget.
* Stay updated on trends in digital, social, and influencer marketing.
Essential Experience
* Proven senior marketing experience, e.g., Head of Marketing or Senior Marketing Manager.
* Expertise in executing and analyzing integrated campaigns across digital, email, social media, PR, and advertising platforms.
* Experience managing marketing budgets and resource allocation.
* Excellent communication skills for engaging both consumer and trade audiences.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Collaborative team player with a cohesive working style.
Desirable Experience
* Experience managing external agencies to align with organizational goals.
* Familiarity with CMS and website optimization techniques.
* Experience planning and executing promotional events.
* Experience leveraging influencer partnerships and social media for brand engagement.
* Understanding of commercial marketing strategies and revenue growth initiatives.
