Cyber Security Engineer
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will work on complex systems provided by Thales, providing specialist security architecture, technical understanding, and guidance to enable Thales to develop and maintain reliable, secure, and sustainable security solutions to meet project needs.
Your role involves advising on security-compliant system architectures, contributing to the design of solutions, studying alternatives, and conducting risk assessments. You will join a growing team of engineers and architects to deliver the right security solutions for our customers.
Key responsibilities:
1. Identify and analyze threats, vulnerabilities, and security consequences, maintaining traceability to security requirements.
2. Ensure security requirements are documented and tracked throughout development.
3. Maintain logs and traceability of security controls and assurance evidence.
4. Gather and configure evidence for Security Cases.
5. Justify security control choices.
6. Create reports and artifacts to support security cases.
7. Review observations and reports from users or maintainers and define corrective actions.
8. Coordinate technically across multidisciplinary teams.
We are looking for:
* Experience in a Cyber Security Engineer role within Defence, Nuclear, Government, Aerospace, CNI, or Transport sectors.
* Experience defining system security controls and expertise in Infrastructure Security Design, including Network Security, Cryptography, Identity & Access Management, End-point protection, cloud technologies, and monitoring.
* Confidence in advising and supporting teams.
* Proficiency with Risk Assessment tools and methodologies across industry sectors.
* Deep knowledge of industry frameworks like NIST, NIS-2, JSPs, MITRE.
* Experience implementing Secure by Design principles.
Desirable:
* Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or relevant certifications (CISSP, Cisco, CCP, etc.).
* Knowledge of Risk Management, Accreditation, Systems Design Lifecycles, and Embedded Systems Design.
