Responsibilities
1. Develop and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
2. Prepare students effectively for GCSE Geography examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of key geographical concepts and skills.
3. Foster a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity about the world and its challenges.
4. Assess and monitor student progress in geography, providing clear and constructive feedback.
5. Contribute to the delivery of the geography curriculum and create engaging resources, including fieldwork opportunities.
6. Encourage student participation in geographical investigations and discussions about global issues.
Requirements
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Geography.
2. Experience teaching Geography at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4).
3. Strong knowledge of geographical concepts, processes, and contemporary issues.
4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, making geography relevant and engaging.
5. Ability to motivate and support students of varying abilities.
6. Commitment to collaborative work and a supportive ethos within the humanities department.
7. Outer London Payscale.
