OverviewA well-established logistics organisation is seeking a Customer Service &pliance Supervisor to join their operations in Altham. This is a flexible, cross-functional role that will support multiple departments, ensuring high standards of customer service delivery alongside strongpliance adherence.The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing customer experience, maintaining regulatorypliance, and supporting operational efficiency across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service
1. Oversee day-to-day customer service activities, ensuring a high standard of responsiveness and professionalism
2. Act as an escalation point forplex customer queries andplaints
3. Monitor service levels and implement improvements where required
4. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers
5. Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements
6. Conduct regular audits and checks to maintainpliance standards
7. Support the implementation of newpliance processes and initiatives
8. Maintain accurate records and documentation
Cross-Departmental Support
9. Work closely with operations, transport, and administrative teams to ensure seamless service delivery
10. Support process improvements across multiple departments
11. Assist with internal reporting, tracking KPIs, and performance metrics
12. Provide operational support during peak periods or where required
Team Leadership & Development
13. Provide guidance and support to customer service staff
14. Assist with onboarding and training of new team members
15. Promote a positive and collaborative working environment
16. Lead by example in maintaining high performance standards
Key Skills & Experience
17. Previous experience in a customer service or supervisory role, ideally within logistics or a fast-paced operational environment
18. Strong understanding ofpliance, processes, and regulatory standards
19. Excellentmunication and stakeholder management skills
20. Ability to work flexibly across multiple departments
21. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
22. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to managepeting priorities
