HR ADVISOR – 12 MONTH FTC KINGS CROSS - HYBRID ROLE – 3 DAYS IN OFFICE SALARY UP TO £50K PLUS A £5K CAR ALLOWANCE Our client is a leading multi-disciplined construction and resource management group, operating across the UK and Ireland. They now require a HR Advisor to join their People Team Division. The HR Advisor plays a critical role in enabling a high-performing, values-led culture across the Company. Reporting into the Head of People, this role supports the creation of a workplace where colleagues feel valued, respected, and empowered to thrive. As a trusted advisor to managers, the HR Advisor role will deliver expert guidance on employee relations matters, ensuring fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes. The role will contribute to the Group’s strategic goal of being a Great Place to Work by fostering positive working relationships, resolving conflict constructively, and embedding best practice people policies. This role requires a proactive, solutions-focused individual who can balance empathy with business outcomes, and who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities * Provide guidance and support to managers and colleagues on employee relations matters, including policy interpretation, conflict resolution, and performance management. * Investigate and resolve colleague disputes ensuring fair and impartial handling of cases. * Support and lead managers thorough investigations into employee relations issues * Collaborate with managers to address performance-related issues and develop appropriate corrective action plans. * Working alongside the People Services manager assist in the development and implementation of employee relations policies, procedures, and practices in alignment with employment laws and organisational values. * Stay updated with employment laws and regulations, providing guidance to stakeholder group to ensure compliance and mitigate legal risks. * Working with the HR leadership team to design and deliver coaching and training to managers on effective employee relations practices, conflict resolution, and performance management. * Work in conjunction with the People Services team to compile and analyse employee relations data and trends to identify areas of improvement and recommend proactive solutions. * Monitor colleague morale and engagement levels, proposing initiatives to improve employee satisfaction. * Collaborate with HR and legal teams to ensure consistent interpretation and application of HR policies and procedures. * Maintain accurate and confidential employee relations documentation and records. * Deliver training and development to managers on ER topics including conflict resolution, performance management, and employment law. * Support the development of a culture of feedback, accountability, and continuous improvement. Skills, Experience & Attributes * Proven experience as an Employee Relations Advisor or in a similar role, handling employee relations matters within an organisation. * In-depth knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and HR policies and practices. * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and management at all levels. * Ability to conduct thorough and objective investigations, maintaining confidentiality and integrity. * Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple cases and prioritise work effectively. * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive colleague information with professionalism. * Experience in managing employee relations within a diverse workforce is beneficial. * Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with changes in employment laws and industry best practices. * This role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a deep understanding of HR policies and practices.
