About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sussex Projects – Portfolio Office for a Senior Portfolio Office Analyst. Join a dynamic Portfolio Office that operates as a Centre of Excellence— advocating for excellence in projects management across the University. The Senior Portfolio Office Analyst plays a vital role in the effective delivery and continuous improvement of Portfolio Office services at the University. The role leads initiatives to enhance project standards and tools, promotes a culture of continuous improvement, delivers training, and ensures compliance with governance frameworks and assurance processes across the University’s capital and strategic projects to ensure that projects and programmes adhere to institutional standards and objectives. About you You are a proactive and organised individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to present complex information clearly and build effective working relationships. With proven experience in project and programme management, you bring analytical skills, a commitment to continuous improvement, and experience in the development and refinement of processes, tools, templates & frameworks to enhance delivery effectiveness. You’re confident supporting assurance processes, delivering training, and enhancing PMO tools and frameworks. About our Division Established in 2021, Sussex Projects is a fairly new function that exists within the University with a mission to Act as a central enterprise function for the selection, prioritisation and control of all projects and programmes in line with the University’s strategic objectives and capacity to deliver. Establish and implement project management best practices for the benefit of the University in a way that encourages collaboration, standardisation, and overall improvement in project results across all strategic portfolios Headed up by the Director of Strategic Projects and Change, the division provides control and oversight over our ambitious capital programme, a multi-million pound 10-year transformation, delivering complex change across our four institutional portfolios ITS, Estates, Research and Innovation, Education and Students.
