We have an exciting opportunity to become our new Executive Chefat one of our busy conference venuesin Oxford.

This is a permanent, full-time position of 40 hours per week, worked on a rota basis between the hours of 6amand midnight. The conference venue operates seven days a week, and overtime willbe required to support events. Any overtime worked will be compensated with time off in lieu.

We are looking for an Executive Chef to lead the culinary operations at our busy venue. This is a hands-on, kitchen-based role where your passion for creating fresh, high-quality meals from scratch will shine. You will work alongside your team to craft dishes using the freshest ingredients, ensuring every meal meets our exacting standards while complying with food safety, health, and contractual requirements.

The role requires leading by example, spending most of your time in the kitchen actively cooking and inspiring your team, with minimal desk work. If you are passionate about delivering fresh, flavoursome food and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Cater to the needs of all customers, delivering exceptional food and service
* Lead, motivate, and support the kitchen team with professionalism and enthusiasm
* Deliver consistent, high food standards in line with Wilson Vale brand values.
* Create fresh, seasonal, and innovative dishes inspired by global cuisines
* Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and Health & Safety practices and record keeping
* Manage allergy reporting and ensure accurate signposting for customers
* Oversee budgeting, ordering, and stock control
* Support staff training and development, nurturing talent within the team


SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

* A genuine love of food and teamwork
* Positive attitudeand strong leadership skills
* Excellent customer service and communication skills
* Ability to perform under pressure in a busy environment
* Proven experience in a high-end hospitality or similar venue
* Local knowledge and experience working in the area
* Passion for exceptional service and attention to detail
* Strong understanding of service styles and current food trends
* Creative and innovative approach to menu development
* Commitment to training and developing others
* Excellent presentation, organisation, and time management skills
* Proactive, reliable, and hands‑on approach
