Job Description
A well-established, international manufacturing business is seeking a proactive Health, Safety & Environmental Coordinator to join its West Midlands operation. This is a key role supporting the HSE Manager to ensure a safe, compliant and continuously improving working environment across the site. You will play a central role in maintaining and improving site-wide health, safety and environmental standards, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and internal management systems.
H&S Coordinator – Responsibilities:
Supporting the implementation of HSE policy and procedures across site
Assisting with risk assessments for new and existing processes
Preparing and updating safe systems of work
Investigating incidents and supporting corrective actions
Ensuring COSHH assessments and SDS documentation are maintained
Conducting PPE and equipment safety checks
Supporting contractor control processes and site H&S documentation
Assisting with audits and Integrated Management System compliance
Monitoring HSE performance metrics and dashboards
Advising managers on hazards, controls and safe working practices
Keeping up to date with HSE legislation and regulatory changes
You will work closely with operational teams to drive a positive safety culture and achieve zero non-conformities.
H&S Coordinator – About You:
Experienced in a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
Confident conducting risk assessments and COSHH assessments
Familiar with ISO / Integrated Management Systems
Comfortable engaging with managers and shop-floor teams
Organised, detail-focused and proactive
Committed to maintaining high standards of HSE compliance
A relevant Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH or equivalent) would be advantageous.
