Are you passionate about supporting young people to achieve their goals? We’re looking for an enthusiastic Development & Skills Coach to join our college community and play a key role in delivering high‑quality personal development, pastoral support, and employability skills sessions.
About the role
As a Development & Skills Coach, you’ll support learners across our campuses, helping them build confidence, strengthen essential life skills, and progress into further study, apprenticeships or employment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a student‑focused environment and enjoys making a real impact in the further education (FE) sector.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging Personal Development, work readiness, and enrichment sessions
* Manage a caseload of learners, supporting attendance, engagement and progression
* Facilitate community projects, employer links, and wider enrichment activities
* Support students with UCAS guidance, references and employability pathways
* Monitor and track student engagement, including those identified as ‘At Risk’
* Develop fresh, relevant, and motivating resources to inspire learners
What you’ll bring
* Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills
* Experience delivering Personal Development, employability or enrichment programmes
* Ability to motivate and support young people from diverse backgrounds
* A positive, proactive and student‑centred approach
* Level 2 English & Maths (or willingness to work towards)
* Teaching/training qualification (or willingness to achieve one)
