Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Production Planner to join our team. This role is critical in ensuring the efficient planning and scheduling of production activities across both our stock product lines and bespoke, customer-specific orders. The successful candidate will balance customer requirements with manufacturing capacity, while working closely with key departments including Despatch, Production, and Sales to achieve on-time delivery and optimise workflow.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, maintain, and monitor production schedules for both stock items and bespoke products.
* Coordinate with the Sales team to review order requirements, lead times, and priorities.
* Work with Production and Despatch teams to align schedules with capacity, resources, and delivery commitments.
* Ensure raw material availability is aligned with planned production requirements.
* Monitor progress of production orders and adjust schedules to address delays or changing customer needs.
* Balance production of standard stock items with bespoke orders to maintain adequate stock levels while meeting customer deadlines.
* Communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth workflow and resolve conflicts.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within planning and production processes.

Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in a production planning or scheduling role (manufacturing or construction-related industry preferred).
* Experience working with both stock products and bespoke orders is highly advantageous.
* Knowledge of concrete, precast, or similar manufacturing processes desirable but not essential.
