About the Role
We are looking for a fun, caring assistant to join our very popular and successful Breakfast Club, which runs Monday to Friday between 7:45 and 8:40am.
The Breakfast Club ensures that children have an enjoyable, safe and relaxed start to the day and has a healthy breakfast before school begins.
Our Afterschool Club runs Monday to Friday from 3.15pm to 4.30pm.
As the Breakfast and Afterschool club lead, you will be responsible for creating a safe and nurturing environment for children in our care.
Responsibilities
* Assist children in the serving of breakfast.
* Provide attentive and compassionate care for children in our breakfast and after school club
Lead and deliver a variety of engaging activities suitable for primary aged children.
* Supervise and motivate supporting staff.
* Manage registers, paperwork, and compliance with Ofsted and company policies.
* Keep the play space welcoming, organised, and safe for all.
* Ensure the safety and well‑being of all children at all times.
* Maintain a clean and organised childcare environment.
* Demonstrate leadership skills by effectively managing daily routines and activities.
Job Details
Salary: £13.05 per hour
Contract Type: Term time only
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday,7.30am to 8.45am and 3.00pm to 4.45pm
Location: Shoreham-by-Sea

What You Need to Succeed
Skills:
* Strong leadership abilities to guide and supervise children and supporting staff effectively.
* Experience of working with children in a childcare setting.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and staff members.
* Ability to provide nurturing care and support to children of various ages.
* Proficient in English language.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
* Food Hygiene Certificate (desired but not essential).
