We are currently recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Wastewater Treatment Team. This role involves maintaining and repairing wastewater treatment works across the Cherwell (Banbury) area.
You will ensure compliance with environmental, quality, and customer service standards, while meeting H&S legislation and budget targets. Your mechanical and electrical expertise will help reduce pollution and keep our sites operational. There is also scope for innovation and process improvements.
This position allows you to make a tangible difference to our customers and the environment. We value your technical skills and proactive attitude.
Responsibilities include inspecting, maintaining, fault diagnosing, testing, installing, modifying, or repairing mechanical plant equipment. You will support 24/7 plant operation to ensure continuous service.

Key Duties
* Investigate plant failures and carry out repairs promptly to prevent process interruptions.
* Perform scheduled maintenance on mechanical equipment following standards and procedures.
* Provide technical advice and support to team members and trainees.
* Maintain equipment such as pumps, control gear, valves, pipework, and chemical dosing systems.
Candidate Requirements
* Time-served apprenticeship with significant experience in mechanical systems.
* NVQ or C&G Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering; additional mechanical qualifications are essential.
* Experience with large industrial plant equipment, especially pumps, is beneficial.
* Knowledge of health and safety standards.
* Full UK driving license required; tools, PPE, and vehicle provided.
