The Engineering function at the GSK Ware Manufacturing and Supply site is responsible for providing technical expertise to support manufacturing, automation, and control systems for all production operations to ensure production targets are achieved.
We are seeking Engineering Technicians with a calibration background to join our Metrology team, providing engineering support for production activities.
Engineering Technicians work in a team managed by an Engineer to support diverse teams across production, quality, analytical, and technical functions. Their activities include maintenance, calibration, physical interventions, and repairs.
Key responsibilities include:
* Calibration of critical process and utility equipment
* Fault finding, problem solving, and breakdown resolution
* Maintenance on utilities equipment
* Continuous improvement of production and utilities equipment and processes
* Completing statutory inspections such as ATEX, zero access, LOTO
* Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Quality, Validation, and Site Operations
* Participation in project work, including commissioning and installing new equipment
Candidate requirements:
* Relevant engineering qualifications and/or experience (e.g., Engineering Apprenticeship in Electrical, Calibration, or Instrumentation; HNC/HND)
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills
* Willingness to learn, good communication skills, personal accountability, and team collaboration abilities
* Hands-on experience in calibration, maintenance, fault finding, or related skills is highly desirable
About Ware Site:
Ware site specializes in Respiratory devices and Oral Solid Dose medicines. It plays a key role in launching new medicines, including life-saving treatments.
