Overview
Because of the business volume, bussers may be used at Hard Rock Cafe. They are directly responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the restaurant, which allows other departments to focus on the guests.
Responsibilities
Basic function of the Busser include:
1. Clearing dirty tables
2. Resetting tables
3. Sweeping the floor
4. Emptying trash cans
5. Stocking ice/products
6. Maintaining a clean and organized back dock area
7. Pre-bussing tables
8. Having a sense of urgency
9. Assisting and communicating with hosts, servers and other bussers
10. In some Cafes: removing ketchups; refilling guests' drinks and setting up bar pre-mixes

Job Requirements include:
11. Performing duties which require bending, reaching, lifting and standing for long periods of time
12. Maintaining a well-groomed appearance ("having a plan")
13. Following all uniform guidelines
14. Practicing all safety & sanitation standards
15. Recycling products, where possible
16. Remaining calm in a hectic, fast-paced atmosphere
17. Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency
18. Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and co-workers
19. Maintaining HRC's 5 core Values and Mission Statement
This Cafe may cross-train the Servers and the Bussers. This "Server Assistant" will become a rotated position for the Servers and only used during busy volume shifts.
