🌟 Residential Senior Support Worker – Lead with Compassion

Location: Wellingborough (NN8)

Salary: £30,196.00 – £31,259.00 per annum + £44.56 per sleep-in

Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts including earlies, lates, long days, and sleep-ins

🛠️ What the Role Involves

As a Senior Support Worker, you’ll play a key leadership role in the home. You’ll be responsible for:

1. Leading shifts and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
2. Supporting and mentoring Support Workers and Waking Night staff
3. Building strong, trusting relationships with young people
4. Promoting best practice and professional development across the team
5. Organising meaningful activities that promote joy, learning, and growth
6. Maintaining high standards of documentation and safeguarding

🏡 About Hatton House

Hatton House is a four-bedded residential home located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire (NN8). The home provides a safe and supportive environment for young people, with a focus on stability, growth, and positive engagement.

Currently, Hatton House has one young person placed, with two more due to join in the next two weeks, creating a lively and dynamic atmosphere.

The young people at Hatton House are teenage boys with active lifestyles. Their favourite activities include:

🏋️ Gym and fitness routines

⚽ Sports and outdoor activities

🎮 Video gaming, listening to music and socialising

👀 What We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds. Ideal candidates will have:

7. A strong, compassionate personality and leadership qualities
8. Emotional resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure
9. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins
10. Experience supporting vulnerable young people in a residential setting
11. A QCF Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare (essential)
12. A desire to grow - opportunities to complete a fully funded Level 5 qualification available

13. 3 weeks of paid induction training
14. Funded Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare

16. £1,400 annual attendance bonus + sleep-in payments (£44.56 per shift)

📌 Important Information

22. We do not offer sponsorship or support with right to work
23. All applicants must have their own right to work in the UK, permitting them to work 40 hours per week
24. All successful candidates will undergo pre-employment safer recruitment checks in line with Ofsted and Homes2Inspire policies
