Overview
Quality Assurance Manager: Incident Investigation & Trend Analysis role based in Milton Keynes. This position is part of EKFB, a joint venture of Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall, on a major railway infrastructure program.
About the Role
Join to lead route-wide defect trend analysis, incident investigation, and management interventions to reduce rework and improve performance. Support the Project Quality team including the Deputy Project Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Assurance Engineering and Administrators. Promote understanding of self-assurance within the Construction Delivery Team. Understand and challenge quality requirements, work with other functions on delivery methods, develop relationships with client representatives and internal stakeholders to influence the Quality Strategy, and actively influence strategy where the business or client requires.
Responsibilities include implementing IT systems to manage quality documentation and records, operating the non-conformance and product defect system (including root cause and cost analysis), planning for product realization through inspection and Test plans, and promoting continuous improvement of standards, practices and procedures. Collaborate with Parent Company colleagues to share learning, carry out internal and third-party audits, and contribute to quality surveillance activities. Prepare and collate KPI data for trend analysis and monthly reporting for the client.
Prepare for and participate in quality-related surveillance and audits, and ensure effective communication of the Business Management System benefits and knowledge.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead incident investigation and trend analysis to drive quality improvements.
* Manage non-conformance and product defect systems, including root cause and cost analysis.
* Plan for product realization with inspection and Test plans and Work Package plans.
* Promote continuous improvement of standards, practices and procedures within the Business Management System.
* Collaborate with Construction Delivery Teams and Quality colleagues to resolve quality issues with cross-functional SMEs.
* Promote and implement IT systems for quality documentation and records management.
* Support internal and third-party audits and other quality surveillance activities.
* Prepare KPI data and monthly client reporting.
About You
Key Skills and Qualifications
* Extensive experience in managing quality teams in a construction environment; civil infrastructure experience preferred.
* Recognised quality-related qualification.
* Experience and knowledge of Incident Investigation.
* Membership of the CQI (or equivalent) and Internal Auditor (ISO 9001) preferred.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities.
* Excellent communication and engagement skills.
* Driving licence and access to a vehicle is required for this role.
