What you'll be doing:
As a Commercial and Procurement Lead, you will take the lead on a range of diverse strategic projects, offering both variety and challenge.
The role will primarily focus on tendering a wide range of contracts, some of which will be complex in nature, with a need to draw upon experience and apply commercial acumen.

Key Skills Required:
* Ability to develop, manage and advise on complex procurements for the organisation
* Able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of procurement law, guidance and policy
* Ability to develop and implement strategy, processes and systems for the delivery of an effective service
* Ability to positively influence a broad range of stakeholders; both internal and external to the organisation
* Ability to ensure delivery of multiple commercial projects within conflicting timescales
* Ability to provide guidance in all aspects of public procurement to ensure mitigation of financial, reputational and operational risk to the organisation
* Ability to provide creative and innovative solutions to deliver desired outcomes
* Ability to motivate, manage and influence teams and individuals to achieve high performance, working towards commercial excellence
* Strong analytical and decision-making skills
* Excellent written and oral presentation skills

Education/Qualification Required:
* MCIPS (Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply) or equivalent experience to carry out the main duties of the role.
* Working towards MCIPS or a moderate level of experience (minimum 2-3 years) to carry out the main duties of the role.
* Educated to a degree level equivalent experience to carry out the main duties of the role.
