Head of Product - Payment and Fraud
Your role
Operating as part of the Customer Account Product function, the role of the Head of Product – Payments & Fraud will seek to build the future strategy and shape the product roadmap that will deliver against the UK&I ambition for customer and business protection, alongside innovation within the payments industry.
The role will seek to shape the customer experience and deliver long term customer value by leveraging the scale of the UK&I Product and Technology functions. It should support the work of multiple customer-facing products and provide a cohesive vision for future capabilities in these areas.
Working within the stakeholders across Commercial, Technology, Product and Customer Operations, you will be leading a team of product management professionals, and will be committed to continuous improvement, be passionate about building capability and developing others, as well as yourself. You should be no stranger to pushing the boundaries that sets us apart from our competitors and positions us as the leader in customer experience in our industry.
What you’ll do
1. Build Payments & Fraud strategies that can respond to regulatory and market conditions faster than the competition. Choose and build the right things for long term efficiency and scale.
2. Work closely with our teammates in the wider Customer Operations function, as well as UK&I Product and Technology functions, to create a system of knowledge across the Group around best practice and strategy. Be responsible for the creation and distribution of this information to place the customer at the centre of what we do and the decisions that are made.
3. Consciously identify and build upon group assets that will benefit the UK&I division especially in the area of Safety.
4. Build out clear frameworks for the prioritisation of work and the communication of values to the UK&I stakeholders and LT.
5. Work alongside the Cactus / digital transformation programme to ensure the timely and effective delivery of initiatives to support Payments & Fraud
6. Describe how the team works and any systems / processes.
How you’ll do it
7. Work closely with key UK&I colleagues to establish the key Payments & Fraud initiatives that will be progressed.
8. Define strategy and prioritisation of these key initiatives to include the resourcing required to deliver them.
9. Prior experience of working closely with Technology colleagues to review the technical delivery options taking into account timing, desire for efficiency and financial compliance.
10. Analysis of competitors, customers and product usage and delivery capability to ensure the right products and services are delivered as required and to schedule.
11. Deliver on defined roadmap of Cactus / digital transformation deliverables (if agreed within the programme) and advocate for solutions that long term strategy and ambition at the heart of the decision process.
12. Responsibility for the performance and professional development of the Product team.
