Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant – Stanley (ASAP Start)
Full-time | Monday–Friday | 8:30am–3:30pm

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Stanley, starting as soon as possible.
This is a full-time, long-term role working 1:1 with two SEN pupils, split across morning and afternoon sessions.
About the Role
You will be supporting:
Morning: A Nursery pupil with ASC, who is non-verbal and benefits from a playful, engaging approach.
Afternoon: A pupil with Down syndrome, ASC, Visual Impairment (VI) and Hearing Impairment (HI).
Both pupils are described as lovely with no aggressive behaviours, and they thrive with someone warm, patient and creative.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered, you must have:
Relevant SEN experience, ideally in a primary or early years setting
A Level 3 qualification or above (Teaching Assistant, Childcare, Supporting Teaching & Learning, etc.)
A nurturing, proactive attitude and a willingness to build positive relationships
Confidence using play-based approaches and adapting learning to individual needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
