We are looking for a qualified PharmacyTechnician to support the safe, effective, and efficient use of medicineswithin the practice. Working closely with GPs, pharmacists, nurses, andadministrative staff, you will help optimise patient care and contribute tomedicines management activities. ThePost Holder will help patients to get the best from their medicines byswitching medication to agreed and approved protocols, improving repeatprescribing processes in General Practice, including promotion of repeatdispensing and online ordering, minimising clinical risk and aiming to reducewasted medicines.

* Process repeat prescription requests inaccordance with practice policies.
* Respond to medication-related queriesfrom patients and healthcare professionals.
* Conduct medication reviews and medicinesreconciliation following hospital discharge.
* Maintain accurate patient medicationrecords using SystmOne clinical system.
* Support medication optimisationinitiatives.
* Assist with clinical audits relating toprescribing and medicines management.
* Monitor prescribing safety alerts andensure appropriate action is taken.
* Assist with cost-effective prescribingand formulary compliance.

Person Specification
Experience
* Experience working in Primary Care, community or hospital pharmacy.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Strong IT skills and ability to work with electronic patient record systems.
* Understanding of medicines optimisation principles.
* Previous experience working within a GP Practice or Primary Care Network (PCN).
* Knowledge of SystmOne GP clinical systems.
* Experience conducting medication reviews.
Qualifications
* Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
