Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
A progressive school in Enfield is looking to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to work with KS2 children with SEMH and ASD needs. This position starts in September 2025 and runs until July 2026. You will work one-to-one and with small groups of children under the guidance of the Class Teacher. The school, rated ‘good’ by Ofsted, aims to be ‘outstanding’. The children are friendly and eager to learn, and the staff are very supportive. The school is a 3-form entry with excellent classroom facilities and a large playing field. Free parking is available around the school. Pay starts from £90 per day.
The successful candidate will have:
1. At least one year's experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
2. An interest in supporting children with SEMH and ASD needs.
3. Good literacy and numeracy skills.
4. A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies.
5. Ideally, an NVQ Level 3 qualification for Teaching Assistants or equivalent.
