Retail Assistant Manager
£13.07 - £14.86 plus benefits

Working hours: Part time 22.5 hours per week
Location: Banstead

Role Details
* The internal title for this role is Assistant Shop Manager.
* You must be eligible to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
* We exist to beat cancer and are looking for a motivated individual to support our trading team as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the shop manager in leading and engaging a diverse team of staff and volunteers.
* Overseeing store operations including display, merchandising, stock management, standards, layout, sales, and income targets.
* Providing excellent customer and supporter service.
* Achieving targets related to donated stock, cash, gift aid, sales price, and stock processing.
* Building relationships within the community and with colleagues.
* Organizing and delivering fundraising events to meet targets.
* Ensuring compliance with health and safety, safeguarding, security, and HR policies.
* Acting as deputy for the shop manager as needed.
* Performing manual handling and physical activities as part of daily duties.
Candidate Profile
* Strong customer service skills.
* Experience working in lively environments.
* Adaptability and ability to work independently.
* Commercial awareness.
* Good relationship-building and communication skills.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis, understanding the need for work-life balance.
