My client is looking to employ a Technical Assistant based in Northampton
The Technical Assistant will report directly to the Technical Manager and will be part of a small Technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for upholding food safety and quality procedures.
Duties and responsibilities
1. · Monitoring and verification of quality control checks ensuring compliance with customer specifications.
2. · Carrying out GMP audits against Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures
3. · Carrying out Fabrication and Glass and Plastic audits against Food Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures
4. · Coordinate actions for non-conformances with relevant teams to effectively implement corrective and preventative actions.
5. · Training of operatives in relation to food safety and quality requirements
6. · Assisting with external audits such as BRCGS.
7. · Assisting with completing export product checks and paperwork
8. · Complete designated tasks as defined in the quality management and HACCP system.
Essential Criteria:
9. · Food Related Qualification or proven related experience
10. · Knowledge of HACCP principles
11. · IT Literate
12. · Excellent organisation and communication skills
13. · Competent in record keeping
14. · Motivated with ability to work on own initiative
15. · Have a can-do attitude and commitment to safety
16. · Flexibility towards working hours
