To find out more, visit www.holcim.com.au/careersThe Opportunity:This is an outstanding opportunity for you to develop your career within a global market leader and play a critical role in the success of our business.Acting as 2ic to the Regional Logistics Manager you will be heavily focused on day-to-day management of the fleet with your responsibilities to include logistics operations, financial performance, safety performance, human resources, industrial relations, customer & fleet management and maintenance.You will ensure the effective use of contracted and company trucks and drivers whilst upholding fatigue management guidelines, NHVR compliance, and company policies with further detailed responsibilities to include:Maintaining a safe system of work in the workplace - ensuring compliance with all relevant safety, health and environment legislation (e.g. Workplace Health & Safety Act, Fatigue Management, CoR)Achieving safety targets and ensuring acceptance and implementation of the SHE standard.Providing valuable advice and feedback on transport operational issues and leading by example whilst promoting a One Holcim - One Logistics, zero-harm culture.Achieving budgeted financial targets.Ensuring maximum fleet utilisation and efficiency, with lowest cost delivery.Achieving sound Industrial Relations.Ensure all company fleet and contracted fleet equipment is maintained in accordance with maintenance procedures to achieve minimum cost, downtime and reduced component failure.About you: You are an experienced transport fleet management professional with strong experience of fleet management ideally within related heavy industrial environments. You may have a technical/ mechanical/ trade qualification and you will have experience in managing both contracted and company owned fleets. You will possess solid, practical skills and knowledge in developing fleet operational performance and capability and your knowledge of compliance and all relevant legislation will be strong.Further detailed requirements and preferences include:Industry knowledge and experience will be highly regarded, but not essential - any industry experience with strong people management experience will be considered.Experience leading teams and managing and motivating employees (essential)The ability to implement strategic improvement and action plans.Excellent communication skills with a strong customer service focusDemonstrated continuous improvement experience.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP and other systems required.This is an outstanding opportunity to develop your career and contribute to our world leading business.
