About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their dynamic mechanical design team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead multiple mechanical services projects from feasibility through to construction (RIBA Stages 1–6). The ideal candidate will bring technical excellence, strong project leadership, and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the design, specification, and construction-stage project management of mechanical systems.
* Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring compliance with British Standards, CIBSE guides, and relevant legislation.
* Produce mechanical services feasibility studies and energy efficiency reports.
* Attend client meetings and internal design team briefings.
* Maintain strong relationships across multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
✅ Skills
* Excellent ability to manage and prioritise workloads across concurrent projects.
* Proven experience in client-facing roles and project leadership.
✅ Knowledge & Qualifications
* Strong understanding of mechanical building services design and installations.
* Knowledge of utility services (new connections and disconnections).
* ONC/HNC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent.
* Familiarity with electrical services (desirable).
✅ Experience
* Background in mechanical engineering consultancy or installations.
* Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD and IES.
* Experience with renewable energy technologies (desirable).
* Exposure to Design Builder, Cymap, Revit, or BIM projects (desirable).
