Colonnade Bar Supervisor
You’ll report to the Events & Operations Manager and be responsible for casual bar staff. You’ll also work closely with The Cellar Person. There may also be occasions where you will liaise with Theatre Royal Brighton’s team.
Key responsibilities
* To set up and run bar shifts, interacting and serving customers with genuine warmth and friendliness and
* ensuring everyone feels valued and appreciated.
* Proactively manage the work of the bar staff, including training and recruitment.
* Ensure accurate stock and cash control procedures are adhered to by all staff.
* Oversee the reconciliation of tills and immediately investigate any discrepancies.
* Ensure staff adhere to all health and safety systems.
* To be responsible for the venue and the safety of staff and guests.
Your skills, qualities, and experience.
Essential
* Supervisor or manager experience in bars or catering.
* Excellent people and communication skills.
* A real drive to promote the bar and create a great atmosphere for all customers.
* Good literacy and numeracy, organisational and office skills.
* Able to work regular daytimes, evenings and weekends.
* Experience in cash handling and stock management.
