We are partnering with a progressive dealership that brings over 40 years of expertise in the heavy plant and equipment industry, specialising in both new and used machinery. As they are continuing to expand, they’re looking to grow their team with an experienced Aftermarket Manager to oversee and enhance performance across both the sales and service departments. In this role, you’ll combine strong technical knowledge with proven leadership skills to drive efficiency and streamline communication between teams. A solid understanding of heavy plant machinery and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment are essential for success.
Role: Aftermarket Manager
Location: Within a reasonable commute of Corby
Report to: The Board of Directors
Key duties for the Aftermarket Manager:
1. Be responsible and accountable for the Aftermarket parts and service business through inspiring leadership and vision.
2. Support the Company Directors to grow and develop the aftermarket business, taking full P&L responsibility.
3. Implement actions to meet the company’s required aftermarket sales volumes and profit margins for parts & service.
4. Lead the Parts and Service Teams to optimise business performance and ensure high levels of service, satisfaction, and experience for internal and external customers.
5. Ensure the DMS, CRM, and manufacturer systems are fully utilised to manage customers and increase business.
6. Collaborate with marketing consultants and outside contractors to create increased business opportunities for service and parts.
7. Deliver tactical operations to meet the company’s strategic goals.
8. Prepare and present reports for monthly management meetings.
9. Take full responsibility for meeting and exceeding health and safety requirements across aftermarket operations.
10. Enforce operating policies and standards to maintain control of all Aftermarket functions.
11. Communicate regularly with the Financial and Sales Directors to review performance and address issues.
12. Coordinate with the Financial Director regarding training needs and delegate tasks accordingly.
13. Ensure PPE standards meet legal requirements and implement improvements as needed.
Key Competences for the Aftermarket Manager:
* Proficient in IT, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and Teams.
* Ability to multitask and manage time effectively under pressure.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Experience in plant machinery, agriculture, or automotive sectors.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Driven and determined to excel.
* Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data trends.
* Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and colleagues.
* Team player who is flexible and supportive.
* Process-driven with a passion for success.
* Genuine interest and knowledge of heavy plant machinery.
