Job Description Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer – Materials Laboratory Working Pattern : Days Working location: Raynesway (Derby) What you will be doing: An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Manufacturing Engineer to join Rolls-Royce within Raynesway Manufacturing Services. You will Provide technical support to operations and execute Manufacturing Engineering activities to develop, maintain and continuously improve manufacturing processes and/or methods of manufacture, which are capable of meeting and continuing to meet business and customer requirements for safety, quality, cost, deliver rate and leadtime (SQCD). Responsibilities: With this exciting opportunity you will get a chance to be involved with the following: Act as the Subject Matter Expert and Technical Lead for the Materials Laboratory Working within a Team of Four to solve emergent technical issues with focus on Quality, cost & Delivery Maintaining engineering technical governance through the entire MoM for your process area. Working with the wider business to deliver NPI objectives. Ability to manage and balance your load/capacity (resource management) to enable robust commitment and delivery. Be an advocate of the employee engagement programme and open to applying new approaches to improve engagement across all areas with which they interact. Communication and stakeholder management skills with a strong positive attitude and willingness to learn Technical experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally within a materials area Good understanding of process improvement tools, preferably Green belt qualified or higher Working knowledge of key Manufacturing Engineering processes and tools Experience of technical working within an operations environment Please be aware that the priority will be given to employees identified as being at high risk.
