Teaching Personnel are working closely with a lovely school in Birmingham in the B16 area. We are looking for someone that is dedicated to helping children overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential. We are seeking a committed and compassionate Inclusion Support Assistant to join a supportive team and play a key role in the development of pupils with a range of additional needs.

The Role

As an Inclusion Support Assistant you will work closely with pupils who require additional support, helping them to engage with learning, build positive relationships, and reach individual targets.

Key responsibilities include:

* Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
* Supporting the delivery of engaging and differentiated lessons alongside teaching staff.
* Encouraging independence, confidence, and social development through consistent support and positive reinforcement.
* Assisting pupils with emotional regulation, sensory needs, and daily routines.
* Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for each child.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

* Previous experience supporting children or young people with special educational needs in an educational, care, or community setting.
* A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* A proactive attitude and genuine commitment to supporting young people.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or a willingness to obtain one.

Desirable Experience

* Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Health and Social Care, or a related field.
* Knowledge of autism support strategies, PECS, or Makaton.
* Previous experience working within a specialist SEN setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
