About this Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and inspirational Teacher of Food with Technology who is passionate about teaching and learning and is dedicated to achieving excellence for all students. This role would be suitable for an Early Careers Teacher.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
6. To be committed to and to promote the school’s vision, aims, objectives and values.
7. To be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, there will be a high involvement in regulated activity relevant to children.
8. To implement and embrace all school policies;
9. To implement the school’s Curriculum & Teaching & Learning Policies by: Collaboratively planning the Science curriculum; Ensuring the National Curriculum is followed; Delivering the Science curriculum plans, including setting homework and implementing the assessment procedures; Marking work, assessing, recording, tracking and reporting student progress, using data to monitor the impact of the curriculum; Providing a stimulating learning environment; Having due regard for maintaining health and safety and security in the areas s/he uses; Being a member of a pastoral team and, as required, a form tutor, carrying out the associated responsibilities.
10. To assist with the effective operation of subject and year teams both individually and with others by: Contributing to team, monitoring, evaluation and review (MER) to continuously improve; Being a member of a School Improvement Group (SIG); Taking part in other professional development activities; Attending meetings.
Qualifications:
11. Good Honours degree in relevant subject
12. QTS
Experience:
13. Experience of Excellent teaching at KS3, KS4 across the ability range
14. Experience of teaching of STEM/DT and Textiles at KS3, KS4 across the ability range
15. Evidence of being able to personalise learning
16. Use of data to monitor and raise achievement
17. Evidence of consistent use of Assessment for Learning (AFL) techniques
18. Secondary teaching experience with up to date knowledge of subject area syllabus requirements and appropriate teaching techniques
Skills:
19. Up to date Health and Safety knowledge
20. Positive behaviour management skills
21. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
22. Strong ICT competence and the ability to use ICT to enhance learning
