Job overview
The Community Dental service has an exciting opportunity for a registered dental nurse who has a passion for working with vulnerable and medically complex patients. As an award‑winning service we offer high quality dental care to people who are unable to access a ‘high street’ NHS dentist, due to their additional needs. The post holder will provide chairside support to our consultants, specialists, dentists and dental therapists.
There will be the opportunity to develop your skills to enable you to support our clinicians when providing more specialised care such as inhalation sedation, domiciliary care and working within the hospital theatre setting. The Community Dental Service provides mandatory training and clinical supervision, which supports you in maintaining the General Dental Council’s CPD requirements. We provide a varied and competency‑based induction programme to support you in your development within the service.
The successful candidate should have 2 years post‑qualification experience, hold or be willing to work towards an NEBDN post‑qualification.
