CJS Recruitment are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in commercial fitouts. Our client is a well-established construction company that has been running since 2012. They specialise with fit outs for airports, refurbs and airside construction. This role is Based in Heathrow.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, preventive maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and building systems within the facility or plant. This role involves diagnosing faults, performing scheduled maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to minimize downtime and maintain safe working conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on equipment, machinery, and building systems.
* Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
* Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions, working to reduce production or operational downtime.
* Maintain accurate maintenance logs, checklists, and documentation.
* Support installation and commissioning of new machinery or equipment.
* Work closely with production, operations, and HSE teams to ensure safe and efficient plant operations.
* Assist in developing and improving maintenance procedures and schedules.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
* Participate in emergency maintenance and on-call duties as required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* CSCS Card Blue - NVQ Level 2
* Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Maintenance Engineering (or similar technical qualification).
* Proven experience in a maintenance engineering role within [manufacturing / facilities / utilities / etc.].
* Solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
* Good communication and teamwork skills
