Salary: £42,885 - £54,455 per annum (Hoople Band F)

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Hoople Group as a Senior Application Specialist – Unit4 ERP. The successful candidate will add value to a range of tasks, including supporting the ERP system across the 1st and 2nd line and supporting a variety of development initiatives specifically in the Finance & Logistics area.
Qualifications
* Previous experience of designing and supporting Finance & Logistics in an ERP – preferably U4BW.
* Basic SQL DBA experience (queries, stored procedures, scripting, etc.).
* Demonstrable track record of developing and supporting line‑of‑business applications with a large user base.
* Working knowledge of business applications, interfaces (including APIs) and business processes.
* Customer‑centric, focused on solving business and user needs.
* Strong understanding of Project Lifecycle and Development Lifecycle.
* Experience working in an Agile development environment.
* Good understanding of ITIL framework.
* Strong analytical, technical, and problem‑solving skills.
* Able to deliver timely, accurate, thorough and high‑quality work in a changing environment.
* Experience working with cross‑functional teams.
* Proven experience of successful incident management and troubleshooting, working collaboratively with IT colleagues, service experts and third‑party suppliers.
* Ability to anticipate areas of difficulty and quickly adapt approach to meet customer needs.
* Ability to translate technical jargon into easy‑to‑understand terms.
* The right to work within the UK.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce and agree designs for new or updated architectures according to business requirements agreed with customers, aligning with existing architectures and strategy.
* Assist with the management of the U4BW stack baseline architectures in the assigned technical specialty (Finance & Logistics) for Hoople and Hoople customers.
* Maintain a high‑level of technical knowledge and competence, monitoring future IT trends and providing on‑going expert professional advice and advocacy.
* Produce Finance & Logistics solution designs and delivery for all new or updated U4BW architectures, ensuring adherence to national and local standards and statutory requirements for business continuity and disaster recovery.
* Support service transition into production support.
* Support all elements of the application lifecycle, from implementation to decommission.
* Provide technical assistance, application support, usage advice and guidance to customers and third parties.
* Lead the technical implementation of new functionality/releases, including management of supplier resources and outputs.
* Lead technical workshops (requirements, design, etc.) and reviews with project teams (including suppliers).
* Collaborate with application specialists to coordinate and manage workloads effectively.
* Analyse changes, prepare appropriate release/change documentation, and ensure all changes and releases follow approved processes.
* Ensure application functionality and system availability meet requirements whilst maintaining high levels of customer support.
* Investigate and diagnose system faults and errors to resolve technical issues, collaborating with ICT teams for complex and significant issues.
