Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Painter role based in West Midlands. The Painter will prepare interior and exterior surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling, and priming walls, ceilings, doors, and other surfaces. Responsibilities include applying paints, stains, and coatings by brush, roller, or spray equipment to achieve a high-quality finish that meets project specifications and safety standards. The Painter will read and follow job instructions, select appropriate materials and tools, mix and match paint colours, and ensure proper protection of surrounding areas. The role also involves maintaining equipment, keeping work areas tidy, complying with health and safety regulations, and communicating progress or issues to supervisors or site managers.

Qualifications

• Practical experience with Paint, including mixing, colour matching, and safe handling of materials.
• Proficiency in Painting and Decorating techniques for interiors and exteriors, including surface preparation and finishing.
• Knowledge of Coatings application, including protective and specialty finishes suited to different surfaces and environments.
• Hands-on skills in Painting using brushes and rollers, delivering consistent coverage and clean lines.
• Ability to read and follow job specifications, drawings, or instructions, with strong attention to detail and quality.
• Awareness of health and safety standards on-site, including use of PPE, ladders, and access equipment.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work both independently and as part of a team on active job sites.
• Previous 5 years minimum experience as a Painter.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, work at height when required, and handle manual tasks safely.
• Must have current CSCS card.
