Our Client has a requirement for a Mechanical CAD Technician, who will be required to work on a contract or staff basis in Manchester.
Role Purpose:
* Support the Engineering team by delivering high-quality mechanical design drawings and models.
* Coordinate, deliver and assure the quality of modelling and drawing work undertaken for the Mechanical Design Team.
Job Role Responsibilities:
* Produce 3D models to a level of detail suitable for construction.
* Prepare 2D drawings, including layouts and general arrangements, to construction-ready standards.
* Maintain quality control of models and drawings, including updating drawing registers such as MIDP.
* Ensure designs are completed in accordance with CDM Regulations.
* Act as Digital Delivery Champion within the team.
* Coordinate drawing work undertaken by offshore resources.
* Support and develop junior members of the team and offshore design resource.
* Coordinate design outputs across all technical disciplines.
* Establish strong working relationships with design staff.
