Facilities/Health and Safety Manager

* Salary: Up to £25 per hour
* Contract: Temporary
* Hours: 40 hours per week
We are seeking a dedicated Facilities/Health and Safety Manager to ensure that our buildings, services, and grounds operate safely, efficiently, and sustainably. This role is crucial in maintaining the highest standards of maintenance, cleaning, security, catering, and health and safety compliance.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
* Oversee the daily operations of facilities management, ensuring all services including maintenance, cleaning, and security are performed efficiently.
* Manage health and safety protocols across the organisation, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate with contractors and service providers, ensuring quality and cost-efficiency in all external operations.
* Handle the budgeting for facilities operations, including forecasting and cost management.
* Lead project management efforts for renovations and other facilities projects, from planning through to execution.
* Develop strategic plans for the long-term sustainability and efficiency of facility operations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Proven experience in facilities management and health and safety roles.
* Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance requirements.
* Excellent organisational and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage budgets and negotiate contracts effectively.
* Experience in project management, particularly in facilities or construction-related projects.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with various teams and external contractors.
