Position Overview

The Main Reception Team at Fulham Road, London, is seeking a full-time shift receptionist to join their team. This role is vital for the seamless functioning of Main Reception, where you will offer reception services to patients, relatives, staff, and contractors in a bustling environment. As a valued member of our multidisciplinary team, this role necessitates excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and organisational skills. Managing emergency situations with composure, tact, and diplomacy is crucial. Essential keyboard/IT skills are required, while hospital experience, though advantageous, is not mandatory. This full‑time position demands 37.5 hours per week.


Key Responsibilities

* Provide reception services to patients, relatives, staff, and contractors in a high‑traffic environment.
* Manage emergency situations with composure, tact, and diplomacy.
* Deliver a professional, welcoming, and efficient reception service to patients, visitors, and staff across Trust sites.
* Exercise sound judgment, initiative, and effective problem‑solving skills in managing a wide range of administrative and operational tasks.
* Respond appropriately to ad‑hoc requests from other members of the Facilities Directorate where the scope aligns with the role.
* Act as a reliable point of contact for internal and external stakeholders while maintaining high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and customer care.


Required Skills & Qualifications

* Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication and organisational skills.
* Strong keyboard/IT skills and ability to use hospital computer systems.
* Full‑time commitment of 37.5 hours per week with flexibility across Trust sites.
* Hospital experience is valuable but not mandatory.
