The Best Connection is currently recruiting for a Service Assembly & Warehouse Operative on behalf of a well-established and growing company based in Cwmbran. This is a permanent position offering an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and expanding team. The Role Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for a combination of service assembly, workshop duties, and warehouse operations, supporting the day-to-day running of the business. Key Responsibilities Carrying out in-house assembly, overhaul, and testing of equipment Monitoring and controlling stock from work-in-progress through to finished goods Receiving, inspecting, and dispatching goods, ensuring accurate stock control Operating equipment safely, including forklifts, tools, and testing equipment Planning and meeting workshop schedules Coordinating inbound and outbound deliveries with freight partners Maintaining workshop and stores areas, including tools and equipment Following all health & safety procedures and using PPE correctly Supporting compliance with quality systems and general business operations Requirements Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines Mechanically minded with hands-on practical ability Mechanical and/or electrical experience (advantageous) Good communication and problem-solving skills Experience with IT systems and stock/inventory systems Flexible and proactive approach to work Forklift/Counterbalance experience or licence (preferred) Working Hours Monday to Thursday: 07:30 - 16:00 Friday: 07:30 - 15:00 39 hours per week Salary £28,000 per annum Benefits Permanent position 28 days paid holiday Pension contribution Opportunity to develop skills within a growing business Supportive team environment The Best Connection is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
