The Medical Education Department at Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli is looking to recruit a Clinical Skills Co-ordinator. This role provides technical support for clinical skills and simulation teaching for medical and physician associate students and medical staff.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent team working skills, with experience in a clinical environment being an advantage. They should also possess excellent communication skills, knowledge of administrative procedures, and strong technology and digital IT skills.
Main duties of the role include:
* Co-ordinating clinical skills and simulation teaching and learning
* Preparing the learning environment
* Creating certificates for attendance and presentation
* Liaising with key stakeholders such as clinical teams and universities
* Obtaining feedback to inform future provision and improvements
* Working as a team player to ensure the smooth running of the centre
* General administrative duties
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post. The hours are 22.5 hours per week over 3 days.
Clinical skills and simulation teaching and learning is an integral part of medical education. The main responsibilities of the role will include supporting the provision of high-quality medical education through the co-ordination of clinical skills and simulation training, working with Medical Education Teams and Universities, and identifying opportunities for continual improvement.
