We’re offering a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in Revenues or a related field, who’s passionate about public service and eager to grow within a supportive and dynamic team.
This rewarding role offers hands‑on experience in:
* Supporting the Council’s in‑house enforcement agent service in the recovery of unpaid debts relating to Council Tax, Business Rates, Business Improvement Districts and parking fines.
* Applying knowledge of Enforcement Agent powers and Taking Control of Goods regulations
* Communicating with residents, businesses, and stakeholders to resolve queries and support fair collection
* Working independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and priorities
* Using multiple systems and databases to manage and update customer records
* Supporting city‑wide initiatives and contributing to service improvements
You’ll bring strong communication and organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work under pressure. Experience in a busy office environment and a willingness to learn and develop are key to success in this role.
Please note:
There is a requirement to answer incoming calls as part of our customer service commitment.
* During peak periods (July to November), you’ll be expected to answer phones throughout the day.
* Outside of peak times, phone duties are shared on a half‑daily basis.
* Our phone lines operate Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
