Operations Manager | Industrial B2B | Cheshire (Hybrid)

We’re hiring for a Operations Manager in a dynamic and quality-driven B2B organisation based in Cheshire. This role offers a rare opportunity to lead multiple core operational functions - including supply chain, warehousing, repair, and systems - at a strategic and hands-on level.
What You'll Be Doing
As Operations Manager, you’ll report directly to the MD and manage a team of department leads. Your core mission? Align operations with commercial goals, embed lean and efficient processes, and drive performance across the board.
You’ll take full ownership of the tool kitting process, where OTIF delivery is crucial. You'll work across departments to enforce best practice, improve forecasting, and manage capacity in collaboration with sales and digital teams.
You’ll Also Be Responsible For:
Leading coordination between warehouse, supply chain, repair and systems administration teams.
Driving procurement improvements, managing supplier performance, and controlling stock accuracy.
Improving warehouse layout, logistics performance, and goods movement in and out.
Supporting the repair team to enhance service quality and turnaround times.
Maintaining and developing quality compliance in line with AS9120 standards.
Promoting the use of accurate systems data (ERP) to inform decisions and streamline tasks.
Identifying inefficiencies and embedding a culture of continuous improvement and cost control.
You’ll Need:
Proven operational leadership experience in an industrial B2B setting .
Solid cross-functional exposure across logistics, procurement, warehousing, and service.
Experience supporting operations through growth or organisational change .
Ability to align operations with other key functions including Sales, Finance, and Digital.
Demonstrated experience in coaching and developing operational teams and managers.
It Would Be Great If You Also Had:
Experience managing AS9120 or ISO9001 quality systems.
Familiarity with ERP platforms (Oracle NetSuite preferred).
Knowledge of warehouse logistics, inventory control, or kitting processes.
Exposure to automation, process digitisation, or data-driven decision-making.
