The Sport, Outdoors, Military and Protective Services courses offer exciting, inspirational, practical based courses designed to give learners an incredible experience as they move forward to careers after education. - We are looking for someone to support these departments with equipment maintenance, organisation and upkeep. - A key part of the role will be to develop local links to ensure that our sports facilities are utilised by the local community out of college hours. - Reporting to the Curriculum Area Manager, you will be hard working, enthusiastic, with a good sense of humour and understand teaching/supervising people in a practical environment. - Skills & Experience We are seeking a motivated and passionate Sport & Fitness Assistant with experience in the sport sector and a strong understanding of health and safety in the workplace. The ideal candidate will have a relevant Level 3 qualification, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. - A background in coaching or fitness, along with strong organisational and administrative abilities, is essential. A First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain one), a flexible approach to working hours (including evenings and weekends), and a commitment to promoting equality and diversity are also required. A full driving licence and access to transport is essential. Experience in equipment maintenance, social media marketing, or holding a minibus driving qualification would be an advantage. - Hours of work The hours for this post will usually be the standard college day with flexibility to incorporate occasional evening and weekend work. - Benefits We have excellent terms and conditions of employment.
