As a SDET you will work closely with other engineers, tech leads, product managers, and architects to build the next generation version of Apex Securities Lending system. The Software Development Engineer in Test will be an integral part of our team supporting the technology organization in a transformation toward a highly scalable and resilient system. Youre all about using technology to improve the customer experience and affect the companys bottom line, but also want to mentor and coach those within your team What you will do all day: Owns the end-to-end development of new features/tools including design, documentation, implementation, and testing of securities lending applicationsin GCP Build resilient, self-scaling, self-healing services that allow you to sleep through the night. Support the production systems on prem (legacy) and GCP which includes build, deployment (CI/CD), and monitoring (Datadog, PagerDuty). Deliver high quality code by following coding standards, performing code reviews and ensuring test coverage at all levels. Collaborate with engineers and other teams to elevate technology, follow agile ceremonies and consistently apply best practices. Be a self-starter, capable of solving ambiguous and challenging technical problems with wide scope. The skills you’ll need to succeed: BA, BS, MS in Computer Science, Engineering or related technology field. 2-4 years of experience in software testing or development Proven experience in at least one modern language (Golang OR Java). Experience using and/or designing with RESTful APIs / gRPC Experience with Google Cloud Platform / Amazon Web Services is required. Skilled at creating comprehensive test plans with detailed scenarios and acceptance criteria. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools Experience with performance, security, or load testing Familiarity with database systems and SQL Experience with Kubernetes and/or Docker is a plus.
