What youll be doing
The Health & Safety Advisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the health, safety and well-being of our employees, visitors, and the environment. The post holder will be responsible for implementing and maintaining rigorous organisational health and safety standards and protocols across all operational activities, cultivating a safety-oriented mindset, and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements while promoting transparency and accountability in all health and safety matters.
What you will bring
While we offer and encourage training and development opportunities, the following will be required:
1. Recognised Health & Safety Qualification - NEBOSH General Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
2. Membership of IOSH or IIRSM with evidence of continued professional development.
3. Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations, standards, and codes of practise relevant to waste management.
4. Proven ability to effectively organise and lead on Health and Safety best practise.
5. Knowledge of emergency response procedures, including evacuation plans first aid and crisis management protocols.
